Logo redesign for KINGCO, a Chinese brand of household articles. The main objective of the assignment was to give a closer, friendly and casual look to the logo, which will be applied to the packaging of new products. A very fluid, non-formal and rounded letterforms were the result of using custom Hand Lettering. The aim was to search relations and interactions between the letters without damaging the good rhythm and the harmony of the piece.
Particularly, the formal solution was found through two ways: drawing the name using ligatures between letters («Ki») and a continuous structure.
The main effort of the process was focused on resolving the relationship between «K» and «i» letters due to the obvious proximity of their strokes.
