As usual, the main work was hand-drawn with pencil on paper. And it wasn’t until the logotype structure and letterforms were all perfectly defined, that we switched into a digital workflow. Calligraphy Wedding seating planEvent customization Wedding photographies: La Dichosa Florals: Little Sisters Bespoke Calligraphy, custom Illustration and Design of handmade wedding stationery for Nicole and Garrett’s marriage in Mallorca.&nbsp; Inspired by Matisse’s portraits and masks, I drew one by one all guests’ pictures using a traditional brush on a high quality cotton rough paper. Every portrait was accompanied by its corresponding name, handwritten with the same pointed brush and sumi ink. The resulting place cards with both Illustration and Calligraphy created specially for each guest are unique and they made all invited people have a very fun moment around the wedding meal. According to the loosen and expressive Calligraphy and lllustration styles used on the seating cards, I also designed and wrote by hand the two wedding menus.&nbsp; <img width="2300" height="1781" Dordogne, the launch of two new Château Puygueraud wines, Côté Soir and Côté Matin, called for two entirely hand-lettered labels. Reflecting the Thienpont family's balance of tradition and innovation, Patrick Mazy (Les Choses Bien) conceived a design where all letterforms from both labels were drawn by hand. Inspired by an Art Déco style, my role was to bring his vision to life, meticulously hand-drawing every single letter and number.My process began with an exhaustive search for authentic French lettering from 1930s advertising. This led to the initial sketches, which combined various proportions and styles on the same label. The mission was to place all the hand-drawn elements into Patrick’s label design, staying as true as possible to his concept. The only element not drawn by hand was the digital illustration of the castle, which Patrick created himself. Taking advantage of the corporate rebranding of their creative office, we worked closely to obtain a new dynamic and handmade version of their logotype that fits the redesign of their overall look. Based on my own Calligraphy, we came by this new curvy, zippy but balanced logo.&nbsp; The starting point was a handwritten sketch I did with a rounded nib. Using this first cursive Calligraphy proposal as a basis, we proceeded to re-draw it by hand in a bigger size to make all the required adjustments both to the structure and the letterforms. Each year, Catalonia's public media corporation presents its new releases, highlighting its most relevant programs. For this campaign, the TV spot was centered on the idea of travel, connecting all campaign visuals to the aesthetics of travel notebooks and spontaneous photos. &nbsp; My role was to create all the handwritten content for the campaign, including over 35 program titles, handwritten notes and doodles for the posters, and, of course, the main slogans.The Calligraphy commission was divided into three distinct phases. The first was dedicated to the main slogan, with a calligraphic style that would convey enthusiasm and act as a strong central element. The second phase was about creating a complementary style that was simpler and more spontaneous, including elements like ink stains, cross-outs, and doodles. The goal was to create a script that would contrast with the main slogan and could be placed next to it. The final part of the commission was creating many different script styles. The challenge was to make each program title look as though it was handwritten by a different person, yet all were created with the same tool to ensure a consistent line weight and cohesive aesthetic across the campaign. All of my original Calligraphy pieces were then delivered to the 3Cat Graphic Design team, who used my handmade letterforms to build the final visual design of the entire campaign. <img width="2300" &amp; Radio presenter &nbsp;Catalunya, Spain Identity Logotype designCustom Lettering Custom lettering logotype design for Mariola Dinarès, whose nickname is @holaMariola. Mariola wanted me to create a very personal and funny brand to use it basically on her new website, but also versatile enough to be reproduced on any everyday item, such as a sticker. We took inspiration from graphic works from the 70's, aesthetically speaking a relevant period for her, although what really determined the final composition was the relationship between her nick's letters. Defining the proper letterforms was a complex exercise: we needed to fit all the letters inside the speech balloon, get the most balanced forms and counterforms possible and, obviously, all that while keeping the logo legibility. The Lettering for the titles was inspired by the handwriting and letter drawings of the French painter Bernard Buffet. To reinforce Marie Lichtenberg’s brand identity color palette, when possible, I worked with olive green ink instead of black ink.

To reach the digital coloured result, the creative process involved an initial stage of conceptualization and a three-stages formalization: Calligraphy, Lettering and digitalizing. From an analysis of Eli's main features, a series of calligraphic sketches were done to define the more suitable styles and forms to represent her. This work, made with a pointed nib in a small size, was&nbsp;enlarged to be used later as a basis. Then, the letterforms were treated in a more detailed way in order to slightly customize them. Their thickness was also increased —maintaining though the calligraphic ductus. Finally, the composition was redrawn digitally through a professional type editing software.&nbsp;Due to the formal complexity of the final logo, it seemed convenient to have a simplified version to apply to small sizes. Calligraphy Wedding seating planEvent customization Wedding photographies: Tali Photography Custom Calligraphy and Design of handmade wedding stationery for Tiffany and Steven, a New York couple who found in Mallorca the most genuine Mediterranean atmosphere to get married. My work tried to reflect the marine freshness with a very loosen, spontaneous and expressive Calligraphy style. In this case, we didn't care about the regular slope and forms of the orthodox formal Italic letter; we were precisely looking for the opposite: maximum expressivity and freedom of the strokes. Once envelopes, place cards, wedding menu and church leaflets were designed, we worked on the table signs using the same language in a more abstract way. As they needn't to be as legible as the previous pieces, on these handmade signs, Calligraphy was mainly used as a texture, almost reaching letters' abstraction. Here, the message was not relevant, but so it was the color of each of the original modern scribbles to distinct the tables.
